Win space - Bikes up!

 

What do you need:

2 reels, drill, screwdriver, screws, rope, PVC pipe, metal fasteners, and very important: help of someone to pull bikes up.

If you want to win space, use the space over your head.
Take PVC pipe and check the size you need between wheels. Make 2 wholes on two sides in PVC pipe, using drill. Fix the pipe between wheels and twist metal fasteners on 2 sides of PVC pipe.
Fix the 2 reels on the roof, keep the same distance between them like you've made the wholes in PVC pipe, which is between bike wheels. Fix the rope on reels and fix one end of the rope in the metal fasteners.  For the second part of the rope  I used the part of the PVC pipe. I made two wholes on two sides in the second piece of pipe and I fixed the rope, like this I can wound the rope on the pipe and block it, while pulling bikes up and down.
Together you need to hold bikes and at the same time to wound the rope on the pipe. When the bikes are on the level you want them to stay, find the place where you can block the pipe/rope to avoid, that bikes will go down.

I've fixed the pipe with screws.

It took us 1h of work :-) and we've won nice space.
