Change your tiles without removing them - painting the "kings' place"

 

 

To change this important part of the house I've decided to paint it instead of removing tiles and putting new ($+a lot of work).

I am not so convinced to paint tiles in bathroom, where you need to wash the tiles with agressive products. Toilet is a place where you can paint the tiles without any fear.

We like the effect I hope you will like too.

I bought paint, (special for painting tiles) and kit to paint with small and middle size rollers. I bought also linoleum, imitation of beton;  white wooden slats and glue.

I began with painting.

Together with my daughter we washed all the tiles. We protected the edges. Using a screwdriver, unscrew all the elements attached to the wall.

 

(From this moment my daughter was asleep).

 

And at that time I started to paint section by section, starting by the grout between the tiles and after the tiles. I waited until the paint dries.

In total, I put 4 layers of paint (after 2 layers , the tiles were still visible in some places).

I started with the linoleum. With the rests I made roll-support to cover the pvc pipe and decoration for the soap to wash hands.

In the evening, me and my husband laid linoleum, which I prepared earlier and we ended up with a strips and gluing them to the floor.
