Postal box door
What do you need:
- Piece of wood,
- White paint,
- Hinges, small metal eyelets
- Screws, dowels, little hook
- Tools: screwdriver, drill, saw, hummer
While I was ill few days my husband decided to make me a surprice.
Since we've moved, we had in mind to make something with our postal box. Each time after rain our all letters were totally wet.
Previous postal box was just empty space like you can see on the picture - the same, but without a door.
How did he do?
He took a size of the door, cut the wooden piece on the size with a saw.
After he used screws and hinges and placed them on the wood, he screwed He took also little hook and he tied it to a small metal eyelets, he screwed the metal eyelets into the door.
After he took a measure to make holes with a drill in the wall. 4 holes for hinges and one for a little closure.
He placed dowels into the holes in the wall, he screwed the door with screws and little closure.
At the end he painted everything on white, like this it's proceted against the rain.
I am very happy that he made it and I am proud of him that it took him only 30 min!
