Adeles Theatre
My little girl is crazy about all stories with a wolf. Each evening needs to end up with a story about the wolf. I've decided to make her a little theatre and to create 2 little stoires: "3 little pigs", "Red little hood and the wolf".
Here's what you gonna need,
To build the Theatre:
- Big cardboard,
- Printed pictures (Name for the Theatre, Titles)
- Wallpaper or paper table cover
- Stapler, scissors, tape
- 4 zips + stick (I found a bamboo)
- Old clothes, tissue to make curtain (I took Adeles old dress)
To create marionettes:
- Sushi sticks,
- cardboard,
- Forms (I've used a glass to have the same size for circles),
- Pictures of characters,
- Stapler, scissors, tape,
To start, prepare all the materials you need. Select your pictures and print them.
I've started with a building a Theatre.
First I took a very big cardboard and I left the top of it open. I' ve covered it around with a paper table cover, by fixing it with a stapler and a tape. I cut out the front window, which will be a stage. At the opposite side I cut out the door to enter inside the cardboard.
After cutting I covered nicely the edges with the same paper and some tissues (specially front window).
I made a name for the Theatre in a circle and 2 little boards with a title for a spectcle.
I finished with making holes in a tissue, putting in on the bamboo stick, and fixing the bamboo with 2 zips inside the cardboard, over the main window.
I also took 2 zips to make a holding system for the 2 sets of marionettes.
After the Theatre was finished I've began with marionettes production :-).
I cut out the pictures of characters and the forms from cardboard. I fixed the sushi sticks with a tape and stapler directly into the forms from cardboard. I covered it with a pictures on a opposite side.
All work, from the conception to the realization, took me about 3h.
Hope you will enjoy it, and it will "survive" a little bit longer than in hands of my little destructor :-)
